I have been taken to task by certain people for being slack in updating.
We are currently in the middle of a heatwave in Perth, and that means my brain has melted and dripped slowly out of my ear. At least it’s not my throat this time! The cat is lying like a giant furry sausage roll in the middle of the carpet and is most unhappy when I rub her down with icecubes in an attempt to keep her cool.
That’s all very interesting, I hear you say. Yes, it is, isn’t it? Let me pour myself another glass of Passiona and tell you all what has been happening.
Actually, I won’t bore you that much. I will just give you a brief update on what’s going on in the writing world.
Firstly, Dash and Dingo: In Search of the Tasmanian Tiger won book of the year from the gay historical fiction review site Speak Its Name:
Of course, Catt and I were very pleased. I would like to say that this has thrown us even deeper into writing the sequel, but, uh, life gets in the way sometimes. This doesn’t mean we’ve given up on it – not at all, we love the guys too much – but it may take a little longer to see the next set of adventures.
But in the meantime I do have a novella coming in June from Dreamspinner. Look out for I Fell In Love With A Zombie! It may be a little bit… different.
And I have finally finished revising the draft of my steampunk novel. Fingers crossed on the submission.
See you in a couple of months! (No, not really, but I will try and be better at posting.)

Re: I feel compeled to comment
” Too slow, Canadian government, too slow!”
No kidding. I work for the buggers and we’re still too slow. “Nimble” is the buzz word these days, if we were Jack our pants would be on fire jumping that candlestick because nimble we aren’t, even 50 years later. Sigh. Ah, we all like to bitch at the government.
